D.C. Players Very Public About Not Going Private

DeMatha will be looking going for a three-peat this year. The Stags have won two straight Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championships, but head coach Bill McGregor, who has a lifetime record of 227-32-3, will have his work cut out for him. He'll have to replace nine offensive starters, which includes all five offensive linemen.

Meanwhile, more and more D.C. athletes are staying in the public school system, rather than transferring to area private schools. For more on that trend, click on our headline "D.C. Players Very Public About Not Going Private" for a story in the Washington Post.
